Pablo J Enriori
Dr Pablo Enriori earned a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Buenos Aires, where he also completed a Masters Degree and a PhD in Clinical Endocrinology.
In 2003, Dr Enriori was awarded a Fogarty Grant fellowship to continue his post doctoral training at the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in the United States where he worked with Prof Michael Cowley at the Oregon National Primate Research Center.He moved from the United States and joined the Department of Physiology at Monash University in 2008.
Dr Pablo Enriori has worked in the field of endocrinology for more than 18 years, the first 8 years working in clinical endocrinology and the last 10 years working in endocrinology research, focusing on obesity and diabetes.
Dr Enrioriās research interests are in better understanding how obesity disturbs the physiological processes of energy balance and glucose homeostasis. More specifically, he is focusing on the role of melanocortin resistance to leptin and glucose and how these could lead to diabetes/metabolic syndrome.
