Rebecca Shansky
Dr. Shansky received her BA in Psychology from Columbia University and her Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Yale University, where she studied the interactions of hormones and stress on working memory under the mentorship of Amy Arnsten. For her post-doctoral work, she joined the laboratory of John Morrison at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she collaborated with Bruce McEwen at Rockefeller University to investigate sex differences in stress-related neuroplasticity. In 2011, she joined the faculty of the Psychology Department at Northeastern University, where her research continues to focus on sex-specific mechanisms of stress and fear processing.
